This Automated "coach" could help us with social interactions

For some people, interact with other people is not easy. Sometimes they nervous to interact in the public. We know, we can improve our ability in speaking maybe we can talk with ourselves in the mirror, right ?

M. Ehsan Hoque, college student from MIT Media Lab who developing a project about MACH (My Automated Conversation Coach). It is a computer program which can be used for training and improve skill about speaking in the public.

LS3 Robot Preparing with the Marine Corps

LS3 robot is preparing for the planned tests that will evaluate the performance of the four-legged Robot as an integral member of a marine combat squad. This robot is undergoing field evaluations at Ft. Picket, to assess the Robot’s control, stability and maneuverability, including testing how the Robot process “Leader Follow” decision making.

Touchscreen interface for seamless data transfer between the real and virtual worlds


Fujitsu Laboratories has developed a next generation user interface which can accurately detect the users finger and what it is touching, creating an interactive touchscreen-like system, using objects in the real word.
"We think paper and many other objects could be manipulated by touching them, as with a touchscreen. This system doesn't use any special hardware; it consists of just a device like an ordinary webcam, plus a commercial projector. Its capabilities are achieved by image processing technology."

Recon Instruments has been building heads-up display headgear for years, but until Google Glass showed up, not many people understood what exactly the company was trying to sell. "Google being in this space makes it easier for us to explain what we do," said Shane Luke, Recon's VP of product management at Google I/O today. "People aren't so confused by our products anymore." The company's next product, the Jet, is a pair of sunglasses built for bike riders, kayakers, runners and general athletes.
